In the five years since its launch, the master of arts in applied English linguistics at Chinese University has become one of the most popular applied linguistics master's programmes in Hong Kong. 'With a higher level of critical thinking skills, our graduates will get a better chance to advance in education, business and mass media sectors,' says Professor Danny Leung, director of the MA programme in English (applied English linguistics). The master of arts in language studies at Baptist University is aimed at language learners, teachers, executives and professionals. 'A great majority of participants are either language teachers or students.
