Ever since Camp Rock premiered in 2008, Jonas Brothers fans have been awaiting a sequel. Maybe they shouldn't have. It hasn't been worth the wait.
In Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam Joe, Kevin and Nick Jonas reprise their roles as rock star band mates Shane, Jason and Nate.
As they return to Camp Rock, the campers realise an upstart rival, Camp Star, has begun operating across the lake. Camp Star soon starts wooing campers and staff from the more modest Camp Rock.
The warring camps agree to a duel in the form of a showdown jam, dubbed Camp Wars. Meanwhile, a budding romance between Shane and Mitchie (Demi Lovato) becomes strained as pressure is building before the showdown.
The sequel has your usual herds of teens breaking out into song and dance every so often.
Some of the songs are nice and catchy, but Lovato's awful lip-syncing makes it seem more like one of those old kung fu flicks dubbed into English where everything is out of synch.
