The city's first case of an illegal gambling establishment hosting the poker game Texas Hold'em concluded yesterday at Eastern Court. Elton Tsang Ka-wai, 30, and Jonathan Shen, 31, who managed the Blue Room in Stanley Street, Central, between November last year and March, were each fined HK$30,000 and received four-month prison sentences, suspended for two years. Chief Inspector Alvin Cheung Man-shing warned that poker houses are illegal, whether they operate covertly or not.
