Poisoning dogs is unacceptable
I am writing to express my outrage at the fatal poisonings of stray dogs.
Cold-blooded people have been poisoning dogs to get rid of strays.
According to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, around 200 dogs have fallen victim to roadside poisonings.
Dogs have long been regarded as our best friends and they deserve better treatment. It's unacceptable to poison them just because we might find them annoying.
It is true that if left unchecked, dog populations could quickly reach high levels. Dogs might attack people and create an unhygienic environment. The government can solve this problem by controlling stray populations through desexing.
Dog owners should also be considerate and make sure their animals aren't a nuisance to others.
