Mother made son stand naked in hall

A woman was handed a 12-month probation order yesterday for making her son, six, stand naked in the corridor outside their flat. Lin Qiong-yu, 30, a farmer who came to the city two years ago, had pleaded guilty in Kowloon City Court to ill-treatment of a child on October 12. Deputy Magistrate Ko Wai-hung said such an offence might have a permanent psychological impact on the boy.
