Few eggs from Germany, says secretary

Secretary for Food and Health Dr York Chow Yat-ngok says only 1 per cent of eggs in Hong Kong are from Germany. The Centre for Food Safety has approached Germany and the European Union for more information. Chow said the department would step up inspections for dioxins in food. Recently, German eggs were found to be contaminated by dioxins.
