When it comes to marriage, Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu Hsi-yuan isn't at all the conventional kind; she registered her marriage to mainland restaurant tycoon heir Wang Xiaofei last November in Beijing, after going on four dates with him in quick succession.
Ever since then, the newlywed actress has been tight-lipped to the media about married life - until last week, that is.
She was in town on Thursday for the first time since her marriage registration, to take part in a store opening, product launch and gala dinner for Swiss watchmaker Tissot, for which she is an ambassador.
Followed by massed ranks of reporters and photographers to all three events, Hsu finally started talking about her new life.
'I'm not taking any new film roles after the Lunar New Year. I need to start planning for my wedding [banquet],' she said. 'There are even more details to take care of because I'm from Taiwan and my husband's from the mainland. We haven't decided where to have the wedding banquet.'
Hsu will be moving to Beijing after the banquet, and will likely take a break from the silver screen.
