Doctor fined over fatal road accident

A paediatrician was fined HK$4,500 yesterday for carelessly driving in an accident with a motorcycle in which the pillion passenger was killed. Euan Soo Tsung-liang, 27, who works at Princess Margaret Hospital in Kwai Chung, was acquitted of dangerous driving causing the death of Lee Kwok-kan, 40. Soo was travelling on the Island Eastern Corridor on September 19 when he swerved into the right lane and hit the motorcycle.
