Rainie Yang gets all fired up for some smouldering looks in red-hot ad shoot

Not content to be labelled 'cute', Taiwanese singer-actress Rainie Yang turned up the heat for an ad campaign for Biotherm's new line of whitening skincare products.

At Yang's inaugural party as brand spokeswoman, held at Jar restaurant in Soho on Thursday, behind-the-scenes clips showed the young entertainer striking many an open-mouthed, eyes half-closed pose as water was poured all over her face and body.

'I felt that the French Biotherm team really picked up on my sexy side,' Yang says.

'They were encouraging me to show my fire, which is so liberating. I feel that my clean, fresh image as a singer isn't all of who I am by a long shot.'

While not afraid to show some skin in a tight, strapless number at the party, Yang was a bit put off by the consequent chill she felt up on stage.

She politely interrupted the host to have the air-conditioning turned off before continuing with the programme.

For the final part of her presentation, Yang switched from Putonghua to a fetchingly-accented Cantonese to promote Biotherm's donations to charity efforts to help transport clean water to remote villages on the mainland.

If sex can sell products, it can certainly sell charity.
