British Council hosts education exhibition

The British Council is hosting an education exhibition at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre tomorrow and on Sunday from 1pm to 7pm. Understanding communication
To be an effective communicator, one needs to understand other people's communication styles and how to adapt to overcome potential barriers. At the 'Communicating Across Barriers' lunch on February 8 - hosted at the British Consulate in Admiralty by the British Chamber's Women in Business Committee - Connect Communication's senior executive consultant Eric Sampson will cover the impact of different communication styles, the barriers to each and which are most conducive to success for different situations. Innovations in engineering

With the engineering discipline battling to attract talent, Paul Y.S. Cheung of the University of Hong Kong (HKU) will share his insights at the 'Revitalising Engineering Through Innovation and Entrepreneurship' lunchtime seminar at Theatre C, Chow Yei Ching Building on February 22. Cheung will illustrate how technological innovation and entrepreneurial spirit can go beyond solving typical engineering problems.
