HK$33.8b boost for coffers

The government accumulated a HK$41.8 billion surplus in December, thanks to HK$33.8 billion income from fiscal reserves, which stand at HK$579.3 billion. The surplus for the nine months ending in December was HK$59 billion. Financial chief John Tsang Chun-wah delivers his budget this month.
