Two hurt in blast at chemical plant

At least two people were injured yesterday after a boiler blast caused ammonia gas to leak at a chemical plant in Zhejiang province, rescuers said. The incident occurred at about 8.50pm at the plant in Yueqing . The injured were rushed to hospital, the rescuers said. Xinhua earlier reported that many were injured, but only two were confirmed by rescuers last night. Many workers were at the plant when the explosion happened. Rescuers rushed to put out the fire and were searching for possible victims. The windows of nearby buildings were also damaged.
