Like many of her showbusiness peers in Hong Kong, singer-actress Fiona Sit Hoi-kei has been spending more and more time working on projects on the mainland. When she gets back home, she needs all the strength she can muster to handle all the jobs that have piled up while she's been away.

At sportswear brand Puma's Black Label launch event on Tuesday, Sit was a guest model and appeared wearing the brand's latest spring-summer collection - as well as a surgical mask. She said she'd gone down with flu and hadn't eaten anything all day.

'I throw up even when I drink water. My mum brought me five changes of pyjamas last night because I was sweating the whole night,' she said.

The slim beauty, however, pulled off a smooth promotional job. She looked convincingly energetic in front of the camera.

When asked why she'd working herself so hard, Sit said: 'It's my responsibility to take care of my family. Besides, I enjoy working.'

Sit showed up in better shape the next day for an ATV event to promote the television station's new After 11pm show. Well, at least her hard work has paid off - Sit earned her first best actress nomination in this year's Hong Kong Film Awards for her performance in Break Up Club.
