Sammi Cheng and Andy Hui follow their hearts as love returns after seven-year split

So it's official - seven years after they split up, Canto-pop diva Sammi Cheng Sau-man and singer Andy Hui Chi-on have decided to give love another try.

Hui confirmed they had started dating again at a press conference on Monday to talk about his May concert. Cheng, filming in Yunnan province, posted an announcement on her Weibo page that evening.

Hui said they had got back together only recently. The couple had been photographed by paparazzi at a local restaurant.

'We've decided we should let our friends know [we're back together] because it's the truth,' Hui said. 'You can't predict such things. I just follow my heart.'

Cheng, pictured above with singer-actress Miriam Yeung Chin-wah (left) and Hui last year, said in her announcement that she longed for an ordinary love life.

'Everyone places so much expectation on us and such pressure scares me. We were apart for many years and there's a lot to adjust to. I hope the media can give us more time and space.'
