The Hong Kong Alliance in Support of Patriotic Democratic Movements in China was the most popular political group in a University of Hong Kong survey for the first time since polling began in 1992. The survey, conducted last month, saw support for the alliance rise by 7.9 points to 57.5 out of a 100. The Confederation of Trade Unions followed with 56.2 points, while the Democratic Party ranked third with 53.3. People's remembrance of alliance veteran, the late Szeto Wah, was cited as a reason for the rise.
