A FATHER and son appeared separately in the District Court yesterday on charges of incest.

The 44-year-old father, an engineer, faces two counts of incest, which allegedly occurred between the end of 1990 and March last year.

The prosecutor, Kwok Wing-lung, alleged the defendant had sexual intercourse with his eldest daughter at his New Territories home when the girl was aged 15 and 17.

But John Pickavant, for the defence, said the girl was 13 to 14 at the time the first alleged incident was said to have taken place.

He said his client would plead not guilty to both charges.

Judge Gould released the defendant on bail until his trial on October 25.

In a separate case, the engineer's eldest son, who is 17, is charged with two counts of incest and a count of indecent assault.
