Lane Crawford channelled artsy minds for this season's fashion collection launch party last week. As a sponsor for the two-day creative conference Semi-Permanent, the fashion store chain, invited hip designers, fashion photographers and visual artists from the conference line-up to join its regular fashionista guests to preview the collection, and perhaps do some shopping as well.
Fashion was in abundance - from the racks to the guests' outfits. To be more relevant about the art and design perspective, installations and video boards were set up, and paintings and photography adorned the walls around the Lane Crawford store in ifc mall.
One of the artists, London-born fashion illustrator Blue Logan (above), nicknamed 'pencil paparazzi', showcased his skills by sketching the partygoers live as he has done at various fashion shows and parties. 'Instead of just portraying who is who, I want to capture the vibe of the party,' said Logan.
To attend the local event, Logan had to miss the recent Paris fashion week but he didn't regret it. 'I've been to fashion weeks but it's my first time in Hong Kong. Hopefully I'll have a chance to go and see the city,' he said.
