The folks at The Royal Garden Hotel have joined in the area's modernisation with the launch of their 193 revamped guestrooms and enhanced atrium. The spruced up quarters have been revitalised with new features that might just make them some of the best suites in the area. At 30 square metres each, they may be the biggest as well. All rooms now include 40-inch Samsung LED televisions, cordless phones, lush Italian Frette sheets, and custom-designed Sealy mattresses from Australia, fitted with three-layers of ultra-comfortable cotton-cladding. The stylish, tailor-made furnishings include laminated glass and white sycamore wood panels highlighted by Champagne-gold stainless steel. The bathrooms feature switchable frosted glass partitions and hi-tech electric toilets. The wall finishing in the rooms are in soft naturalistic colours, introducing warmth to the spaces, and symmetrical patterns. In the hotel's expansive public atrium, colour-changing lights complement and accentuate the building's architecture. The soft rainbow colours subtly change throughout the evening, slowly altering the mood and catching the eye at all times. The HK$240-million renovation is only the initial phase of a massive overhaul, which, once complete, will likely take The Royal Garden to the top of its game. Address 69 Mody Road Telephone 2721 5215
