Luxury multi-label store The Swank served up a bit of everything dolce vita during its spring-summer fashion presentation at Taikoo Place's ArtisTree on Friday night.

About 800 guests, including Italian consul general Alessandra Schiavo, the country's trade commissioner Romano Baruzzi and Swank managing director David Hong Kin-hay, were entertained by exquisitely designed clothes fresh from the runway while the Prosecco wine flowed freely.

Models sashayed down the runway in such items as casual safari ensembles, sequined evening dresses and neon-coloured beachwear.

Front-row guests, including singer Coco Lee, TVB actresses Fala Chen and Olympic medal-winning gymnast turned starlet Liu Xuan, got an eyeful of the clothes and occasionally commented on models' heels being too fine or beach pants hanging too low. The central art pieces of the night were created by local artists Wong Tin-yan, Jenny Ma and Him Lo (pictured).

To echo the theme of 'Italian Fantasy', Wong came up with three sculptures, entitled Faith, Hope and Love.

'I use upcycled junk wood for the designs,' Wong said. 'I want to keep it raw because if I paint them, you won't be able to see the original texture of the material.'
