Tiger mothers aside, we should never underestimate a mum's powers. So watch out for one group of eight Hong Kong-based mothers who are trying to make a success of their online start-up, just like they did in their former corporate jobs.

The website YummyMummyAsia.com provides everything a mother needs to know, with a stylish twist.

It lists about 500 products and services the mums have tried and tested - from friendly dentists to delicious play-day caterers and family-fun events.

An affiliated group-buy shopping site will be launched next month.

It all started two years ago when two former Christie's auction house employees - art consultant Levina Li-Cadman (pictured first left) and public relations officer Kate Swan Malin - were both pregnant for the first time.
