Hansar Bangkok is shaking up the Thai hospitality scene less than four months after opening. Although this is probably because the property is managed by hospitality experts Ativa, the new hotel is a statement of boldness, located within spitting distance of luxury lodging veterans Anantara, the Four Seasons and the Grand Hyatt. Hansar's refreshing approach can be felt all over the 45-storey structure, constructed by the Singaporean-based architectural and design firm WOHA. Green touches run throughout the building, designed to help with the natural airflow and maximise natural light. On the lower eight floors, a vertical garden runs up the side of the property, cascading down from the infinity pool which stretches across the terrace. On the floors above this are the 94 modish suites. Ranging from 54 to 125 square metres, the suites cater to an array of travellers, with the Studio Suites aimed at long-staying guests and the duplex Loft Suites intended for those looking for something special. All suites boast fully-equipped kitchenettes, refrigerators, washing machines, 50-inch flat-screen televisions, DVD players, iPod docks, plus complimentary internet access. Other property highlights include four food and beverage outlets, three private event spaces and a hirable outdoor rooftop. Address 3 Rajdamri Road Telephone +66 2209 1234
