EASTERN'S second successive treble-winning season has been reflected in the annual awards run by RTHK in association with the Hong Kong FA and the Hong Kong Chinese Footballers' Association. For the second year in a row, Eastern captain Lee Kin-wo was voted Footballer of the Year. And the league's leading scorer, Dale Tempest, won the award for the Best Foreign Player. As well as these, the All Star team included no fewer than eight Eastern players. Lee, 26, said: ''I was surprised to win the award again because I didn't think I played as well as last season. ''We lost two games in the league so this will make us strengthen the team for next season. ''Now I feel like the older brother in the Hong Kong team and it is good to see a few younger players joining the squad. ''I think our preparations for the Asian Games in Japan in October will be very good so I am confident the Hong Kong team can put in a good performance.'' Eastern won the league, the Challenge Shield and the FA Cup for the second successive season, missing out only on the Viceroy Cup - the territory's most prestigious knockout trophy. Tempest, 30, scored 24 goals in the four competitions to finish six clear at the top of the scoring chart. ''My target is always 20 so naturally I'm very happy to finish with 24. But I couldn't do it without my teammates and there has been a very good understanding in the Eastern side for the past two years.
