A Scandinavian touch for presentation of new shoe collection
Danish shoe brand Ecco held its spring fashion presentation away from the usual fancy showrooms, opting for Finds, the newly-opened restaurant in Tsim Sha Tsui's Luxe Manor hotel.
Ecco was hoping to inject a little extra Scandinavian style into the photo opportunity.
Posters of the new shoe collection donned the bar at Tuesday's event, and display cases were set up around the restaurant to make the venue look more fashion-friendly.
Instead of champagne and cold canap?s, fashion bloggers and writers were treated to an afternoon tea of bite-sized salmon sandwiches and berry cheesecake, especially created for the occasion by chef Jaakko Sorsa.
Four models wearing casual clothing and comfy loafers had to squeeze themselves between the long dining tables where the media was seated, making sure everyone got a front-row view.
Michael Li, general manager of the brand's Hong Kong branch, said the venue was chosen mainly to echo the theme of the collection but also to pay tribute to the brand's Scandinavian origin.
