SCMP Reporter

A SYNDICATE employing local Vietnamese to wholesale smuggled cigarettes has been cracked. Some 1.4 million cigarettes in 125-carton boxes, worth more than $1.4 million, were seized from a Yuen Long village house and a Mongkok flat. Four Vietnamese, aged from 18 to 44, and two Hong Kong men, aged 30 and 32, were arrested.
