Pimp gets jail stay extended
A MAN who lived off the earnings of prostitutes as young as 13 years old was jailed for three years and nine months by the District Court yesterday.
Kam Kam-ping, 31, admitted being involved in two brothels in which a total of 10 girls were working.
He pleaded guilty to three counts each of permitting girls aged under 16 to work as prostitutes and living off the earnings of prostitution, and one of managing a Tsim Sha Tsui premises as a vice establishment.
Police raided a flat in Canton Road on June 16 last year and found three girls aged 13 to 15 who had provided sexual services.
Kam is already serving a two-year term for other offences. Deputy Judge Thomas ordered that nine months of the new term be served concurrently with this.
In the other case, Kam admitted 10 charges, including living off the earnings of prostitution.
Defence counsel Eddie Yip urged the court to consider his client's guilty pleas.
