SHOP owner Law Hin-wing, 31, was beaten by a gang of 20 triad youths after he refused to pay protection money. He suffered head injuries when the gang beat him with ashtrays at his Wa Fung Street shop, near the Universal Funeral Parlour, Hunghom.

  The youths, who claimed to be members of the Fuk Yee Hing triad, destroyed the shop's goods, mainly wreaths.
