IN his column headlined, ''Do not open old wounds'' (South China Morning Post, May 31), Mr Tsang Yok-sing argued that it is meaningless to keep reminding people of the Tiananmen Square massacre.
However, the massacre is a historical fact. Some time in the future it should be included in the history syllabus of schools.
As an educator Mr Tsang has an ethical responsibility to account for this historical fact to his students.

Unless, of course, Mr Tsang has already anticipated that the Tiananmen massacre will be deleted from future syllabuses.
