ASHWIN Aiyappan was named as captain of the Hong Kong cricket team to represent the territory at the International Youth Tournament in Malaysia from July 28-August 8.
The South Island School schoolboy will lead a 15-strong playing party to the eight team tournament. Aiyappan will have Stanford University's Rohan Chandran as his deputy.
The other countries participating in the tournament are Bangladesh, East/Central Africa, Denmark, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates.
