SHARES in CDW International tumbled yesterday as they resumed trading after announcing a rights issue.
The company's shares will also be consolidated from 10 shares into one share from mid-July.
CDW will issue five consolidated shares for every 10 non-consolidated shares at $1.17 for each share providing the consolidation is approved.
Dongfang Electric was the most heavily traded stock in share volume. The share fell amid profit-taking by 15 cents to $3.35 in turnover of $65.72 million and volume of 19.48 million.
Under the issue, 112.5 million H shares were offered to the public. They were 14.1 times oversubscribed. On its first day of trading, the stock closed at $3.175, 24.5 cents above the issue price of $2.83.
Nam Pei Hong was the best performing stock of the day. The share rose 10 cents, or 15 per cent, to 74 cents on a turnover of a mere $1,480 as 2,000 shares changed hands.
Hansom Holdings was the second best performer. Its shares rose eight cents to 88 cents on a turnover of $1.4 million as 126,000 shares changed hands.
