A SHOPPING centre, a hot springs resort and a large apartment building will be among a number of properties featured in a New Zealand property exhibition to be held in Hong Kong over the weekend.
Bayleys Real Estate, New Zealand's largest commercial and industrial real estate company, will be exhibiting the properties from Friday to Sunday at the Pacific Place Exhibition Centre.
The largest property to be featured will be Southmall Shopping Centre, in Manurewa, South Auckland, where 27 tenanted retail outlets are being offered for sale individually.
John Bardebes, managing director of Bayleys Asia, says prices range from NZ$250,000 (about HK$1.5 million) for smaller specialty shops through to NZ$3 million for the largest of two supermarkets.
Mr Bardebes said one of the features of the centre, which was expanded and refurbished in 1987, was its low vacancy rate, with occupancy of between 95 and 100 per cent.
He said the New Zealand retail sector is experiencing a period of expansion.
