SACKED ICAC officer Alex Tsui Ka-kit is back in the public eye . . . not to make the headlines, but to present his own radio show.

The man who was once tipped to be the first local director of operations at the corruption-busting agency has landed himself a top slot with Hit Radio, the Chinese language channel of Metro Broadcast.

He will host the morning show and deal with live calls from people complaining about rights abuses miscarriages of justice.

Many believe he was chosen for the job because of the name he made for himself in his ongoing battle to clear his name after he was dismissed from the ICAC.

''The radio station has done a lot of research and believes Alex will be widely accepted by the audience,'' said Mr Tsui's solicitor, Andrew Lam.

''He is seen as a righteous person, a defender of the law. His role on radio will be as ombudsman.'' Mr Tsui, who was appointed on Friday, starts work tomorrow.
