Time moves

TIME has bought full control of President Incorporated, the publisher of President magazine in Japan, a business monthly with a circulation of 273,000.

It has done this by acquiring the 50 per cent owned by Diamond Incorporated, Time's long-term partner in Japan.

The buy out was an important step, a Time spokesman said. Industry sources said it might presage the publication of a Japanese-language edition of Time.
