Every day between now and the final on July 17, the SCMP will publish a World Cup-related question which will be featured in that night's coverage by the ATV World Cup panel of Charlie Charters, Dale Tempest and Spencer Robinson.

Simply fax in your comments in answer to the question in not more than 50 words to 336-0326.

The best replies will be discussed on air and published, along with the name of the correspondent, in the sports pages of the following day's SCMP.

At the end of each week the names of those whose comments were published will be put into a hat and the first to be drawn out will receive an invitation to appear on the panel.

YESTERDAY'S QUESTION AND WINNERS QUESTION: Which country do you think was most hard done-by in failing to qualify for USA '94? From AKSHAY RANGNEKAR: 'Zambia. Undoubtedly possessing the best team in Africa, the hopes of a nation were shattered in that fatal air crash. Even then the new squad honoured their predecessors by nearly reaching USA '94, losing in the final game when they needed a draw to go through.' From ROGER PARRY: 'Without a shadow of a doubt it's got to be England for the simple reason that with Turnip Taylor and the long ball game, English people had to suffer with the 'you don't have to win, but don't lose mentality'. Bring back Martin Chivers!' From DAVID A. SAHIJWANI: 'What a savage blow for Australia who won their group but still failed to qualify when they lost to Argentina who had lost their group following a devastating 5-0 defeat to Colombia. Group winners should have qualified for USA '94. Australia won theirs; Argentina lost theirs.' TODAY'S QUESTION: What's the most unsatisfactory aspect of world soccer today and why? (In no more than 50 words).
