Andrew Peter Richardson, 26, an electrical engineer, and Robert Andrew Jackson, 33, each agreed to be bound over for $500 in South Kowloon Court before Magistrate Henry Brazier.
The court heard Karen Sevila was walking along Canton Road at 11.35 pm on June 18 when the two men playfully stamped in a puddle of water, splashing her clothes.
Ms Sevila had been startled and accidentally spilled water from a bottle she was holding. Richardson raised his hand and apologised.
Ms Sevila had misunderstood the men's intentions and reported the matter to the police. No injury or damage was involved.
