I AM dissatisfied with the public mini-bus service which presently operates between Kwun Tong and Cha Kwo Ling.
I am a Cha Kwo Ling resident and I am always late for school, because there are not enough mini-buses. In Cha Kwo Ling village, a mini-bus is the only transport system apart from taxis.
During the morning rush hour period, large numbers of people queue up at the mini-bus station. The frequency of the service is every five to 10 minutes, which means that there are just not enough mini-buses to meet the demand of residents.
Another problem is that along the route there is a midway stop beside Lam Tin MTR Station.
When the mini-bus is not full, some drivers stop there and will not leave until the vehicle is full. This can take a long time and because so many of us are trying to get to work or school, time is precious.
The mini-bus company's timetable states clearly that its service runs until 12.20am. However, on a number of occasions, I have been waiting at the stop at Kwun Tong Station, when it is only 12 midnight, and there has been no sign of a mini-bus.
