SPARE a thought for playwright Tom Hope, who co-authored the Not So Loud Theatre Company's production of Hong Kong Hamlet.
Anxious to get maximum publicity, Hope devised a poster campaign which bore a large Fringe Club logo to readily indicate the venue.
Alas, poor Yorick . . . er . . . Thomas. The logo he inadvertently used was the one that publicised Fringe '94, which was held earlier in the year. Leading many to think that they were dated posters. Pleads Hope: ''As a result we've only sold two tickets so far. And the cast is threatening me with some of the horrible things that befall the players on stage.'' So for the sake of Hope's head, please note that Hong Kong Hamlet debuts at the Fringe Club on Saturday at 8 pm. And it will continue at the same venue from July 12-17.
