GAMMON Construction has won a multi-million dollar contract to build a major road link between east and west Kowloon.

   The company, which has also been involved in the Tate's Cairn Tunnel and Eastern Island projects, said yesterday the $576 million three-year contract to build the dual three-lane carriageway would start this month.

  The construction will see the improvement of Ching Cheung Road and Lung Cheung Road between Butterfly Valley and Nam Cheong Street to form the carriageway.
