TRADING in second-line stocks remained mixed yesterday, with two shipping companies closing in the top 10 gainers list.
Jinhui was the fourth best performer, gaining five cents to $1.15.
The company is involved in ship chartering for bulk cargo, as well as highway construction, ship-building and a canning operation in China.
Wah Kwong Shipping rose 50 cents to $13.80, making it the fifth best performing stock of the day.
The company, which operates about 30 ships, also is involved in mainland property development and food processing.
The day's best performer was S Megga, with a 12.86 per cent gain or 18 cents to $1.58.
The mainland-backed company makes cordless telephones and has a joint venture with the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications to distribute its products in China.
