DANCER Julia Mok is going through her paces in preparation for her solo performance at the Fringe Studio next week. It will be the second presentation for The Circle company, which she formed in 1992, singing, piano playing, modern dance choreographing, teaching tap dance and a stint with the City Contemporary Dance Company having kept her busy since then.

Julia will be performing an original piece she has devised called Day Book Page 26, based on excerpts from her own diaries, and accompanied by a diversity of music from accordion to New Age.

Also performing her original solo work will be Peggy Woo, who danced with the Hong Kong Ballet Company for four years and has choreographed a piece titled White Monologue, which she says is a simple, soothing dance.

The Circle offer four performances from Wednesday to Saturday. Tickets, $50 for members; $65 for non-members.
