JARDINE Office Systems (JOS), the office automation and information technology subsidiary of Jardine Pacific (JP), is reviewing its bid to participate in the Government's personal communications network.
Jardine Pacific managing director Anthony Nightingale said the company was interested in the new telecommunications network and was still studying it.
JOS managing director Steve Lo said there was huge market potential in the telecommunications business.
He said it was examining potential competition in the market and advances in technology for the network's establishment.
JOS has been negotiating with possible partners for participation in the new network, for which the Government expects to grant licences next year.
JOS yesterday launched its first retail chain for personal information technology products, with the opening of an outlet in Admiralty.
