THE Hong Kong Sinfonietta will present violinist Kwan Lap-hok and saxophonist Kenneth Tse at their concert on Saturday at the City Hall Concert Hall.
Violinist Kwan co-founded the Hong Kong Sinfonietta and remained as principal second violin and honorary secretary until migrating to Canada in 1991. He is now the principal second violin of the Symphony New Brunswick in Canada and is a member of the Saint John String Quarter.
Tse began saxophone study at the age of 12 and won the first prize in the saxophone solo of the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival for three consecutive years.
As founder of the Hong Kong Saxophone Quartet, he also won the first prize in ensemble performance of the Hong Kong Young Musicians' Award in 1989.
Tickets for the concert at $80, $60 and $40 are available at Urbtix outlets. Half-price tickets are offered to students and senior citizens.
