DAH WAH International executive director David Brian Ellis's resignation due to unspecified personal reasons became effective yesterday.
The announcement was made after the group's annual meeting.
Deputy chairman Lee Shiao Yu Cho will temporarily take over Mr Ellis' marketing duties.
The group would consider suitable candidates for the post in the coming months, a company spokesman said.
Mr Ellis will act as a consultant to the group. The native Australian will reside in Sydney but will continue advising the company from overseas.
Dah Hwa reported a 70 per cent jump in turnover to $269 million for the year ended MArch 31, 1994. Consolidated after-tax profit climbed 52 per cent to $33.6 million. Per share earnings were 26.18 cents.
