A HOUSEWIFE, charged with forcibly taking away a two-year-old toddler who was subsequently found dead in a playground, appeared in Sha Tin Court yesterday. No plea was taken from Wong Yue-hing, 43, who was not legally represented. It is alleged that Wong unlawfully took away Wong Ming-hung on the third-floor podium of Greenwood Garden in Sha Tin on August 17, 1993 with the intent to deprive his parents of the possession of the boy. Ming-hung, whose body was found lying in the same place, died of multiple injuries that day. Magistrate David Duggan remanded Wong in custody until today for her to seek legal representation. In February, an inquest into the death found Ming-hung had been unlawfully killed. Wong was arrested at her 10th floor apartment at Greenfield Court, Sha Tin, on Monday, where she lives with her husband, and two children, aged 10 and six.
