Distribution centre opens in Cavite

U-FREIGHT'S Philippines subsidiary has established a new distribution centre in the Cavite Export Processing Zone.

The company has also introduced the first fully computerised Customs operation in the country at Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

The firm's president Gene Boyer reported a boom in freight traffic between the Philippines and the nine regional distribution centres operated by U-Freight America.

The new Cavite distribution centre, which is operated by U-Ocean Inc - a subsidiary of U-Freight's Philippine holding company Linaheim Properties (LP) - will provide Philippines shippers with a one-stop shop, he said.

Other LP subsidiaries, Airfreight 2100, U-Freight Philippines, and 2100 Customs Brokers are nearby.

Services available include container stuffing, document preparation and processing, trucking for outbound goods, stripping, insurance and storage.
