QUINN Law has been appointed chief financial officer of Wharf (Holdings) Limited. Mr Law, who is currently a director of the Cross-Harbour Tunnel Company, Harbour Centre Development and Beauforte Investors Corporation and a non-executive director of Wheelock and Company Ltd, first joined the Wharf Group in 1983. Doreen Lee has been appointed executive director of Wharf Properties Limited. Ms Lee, who is also a director and the general manager of Harriman Leasing, first joined the Wharf Group in 1984. THE Hong Kong branch of Fuji Bank Ltd has promoted Shuichiro Nemoto to deputy general manager of Business Promotion 5 Department. At the same time, Hironhiko Nomura, Katsumi Fujitani and Tsutomu Ishida have been transferred to the Hong Kong branch as managers of Business Promotion 4 and 5 departments respectively. THE Singapore Tourist Promotion Board has appointed Michael Yeo as its new general manager for China and Hong Kong. Mr Yeo is stationed in Hong Kong. For the last four years, he has been general manager of the board's Taiwan office. MICHAEL Holt of Bozell Asia Pacific has been named creative director of International Operations, Bozell Worldwide. Mr Holt was previously regional creative director of Bozell's Asia Pacific operations, which have their headquarters in Hong Kong. He will work with multinational clients on regional and multiple market campaigns, as well as local offices on specific tasks. He will be joined by Barry Delaney from DFSD Bozell London on special projects. LE Saunda Holdings Limited has appointed Tom Chan as group financial controller with overall responsibility for the group's financial affairs. Mr Chan has 15 years of experience in the financial sector. He was most recently a vice-president of Citibank and the Asia Pacific regional financial controller at FXTS International Ltd, a subsidiary of Citicorp. SCANDINAVIAN Airlines System (SAS) for Hong Kong, southern China, Taipei and the Philippines has appointed Bjorn Araldsen as sales manager. Mr Araldsen, a 29-year-old Norweigan, will be responsible for commercial clients and co-ordinating agency sales with SAS' assistant sales managers. He was previously a consultant with Finexco (HK). KONE Elevators is continuing moves to make Hong Kong its regional base with the strengthening of its operators in the territory. Neil Padden, area director of the firm for Asia Pacific since 1991, has relocated to Hong Kong from Sydney. Terry Pascoe has been appointed regional controller, Far East operations. He was formerly Kone's finance director for Australia and New Zealand. Raymond Chan becomes the new human resources director of Far East operations. He was formerly regional personnel manager of Carrier Air-conditioning. MBO Partners has been formed by Alfredo Ayala, Steven Sharkey and Alexander Thomson to specialise in investing in management buyouts of Asian companies. They will be responsible for identifying and acquiring Asian businesses in partnership with management teams. They have experience in acquiring and investing in companies in Asia and in structuring complex buyouts and management incentive plans. D'ARCY Masius Benton & Bowles (Hong Kong) Ltd, the Hong Kong advertising agency, has appointed Desmond So as director of client service. In his new position, Mr So will have full client service responsibility and will simultaneously be the key for the Hennessy team for both Hong Kong and China. EDS Electronic Data Systems has appointed Randall Chapin as director of the financial services industry for the Asia Pacific region. Mr Chapin is a 12-year EDS veteran. In his new position, he will be responsible for assessing local markets. He will also assist in formulating business plans for the local financial industry, strengthening relationships with existing customers and providing focused resource throughout the sales cycle in pursuit of new business in the region. ITT Sheraton Asia Pacific has appointed Lanna Mukim as director of the ITT Sheraton sales office in Jakarta. Prior to this appointment, Ms Mukim was national sales manager at DHL. ANNE Pasquier has been appointed manager of the ECCO Wan Chai branch and French recruitment division. She was previously employed as an advertising manager in Paris and joined ECCO following the promotion of Philippe Kopcsan to ECCO Thailand. The ECCO French division handles recruitment for many French companies in Hong Kong and also helps French nationals in the territory to find employment.
