First poetry from China

WHO were the first poets? The first poets probably will remain unknown because they spoke poetry and did not write it down. However, we do know of some very early poets whose works have survived. The Greek poet Homer is thought to have written the epic poems Iliad and Odyssey around eighth century BC.

In China, poetry is thought to have been written even earlier. The collection of poetry called Shih Ching (Book of Odes) includes poems written between the 10th century BC and the seventh century BC.

What causes a black eye to form when you break your nose? There are lots of little blood vessels underneath the skin. If you get hit on the eye, the blood leaks out of these vessels and shows through the skin.
