H SHARES continued to dominate sentiment and performance yesterday as some of the less popular issues had their day in the sun.
Beiren Printing was one of the best-performing mainland issues, climbing 7.4 per cent to close 27 cents higher at $3.90.
The company is a maker of printing machinery and is the second largest offset printing machine maker in China with more than 300 customers.
First Shanghai shares continued to do well, finishing as the day's best performing stock.
The counter gained 10.5 per cent to close 16 cents higher at $1.68.
First Shanghai is controlled by mainland interests and Cheung Kong, which has a 35.8 per cent stake.
The finance company is involved in stockbroking, deposit-taking and property investment.
