SEA-LAND Service has announced an upgrade of its joint service with Norasia Line on the Asia-Middle East-Europe route from next month.
The present non-conference service which utilises 12 ships on 84-day rotation will be replaced by a new service with 10 ships on 70-day voyages.
Sea-Land and Norasia will each deploy five vessels on the service.
The French port of Le Havre will be added to the list of ports covered by the existing service. Space on the vessels will be shared on a 50-50 basis.
The first sailing under the revised service route will be on September 19 from Hamburg by the Sea-Land Value.
Sea-Land has, meanwhile, started serving Black Sea ports from Piraeus under a slot-charter arrangement with ECS, a subsidiary of EVGE of Piraeus.
