NAME card makers in Wan Chai and Tsim Sha Tsui are having a field day with orders from police officers whose titles have changed in an initiative by new Commissioner of Police Eddie Hui Ki-on.

Mr Hui believes the new titles better reflect an officer's rank.
Officers affected by the changes, which became effective last on August 1, say the standardised titles are less confusing.
They have been told not to rush into replacing their name cards through Police Public Relations Branch but wait until their existing ones have been used up.
Nevertheless, it is understood some officers have privately ordered new cards from street traders.

Force manuals, door signs, chops and telephone directories will be amended to reflect the changes.
