HONG Kong continued to face a tight labour market for the period between April and June when about 38,600 people were underemployed, according to official figures.

This represented an underemployment rate of 1.3 per cent for the period.
The unemployment rate stood at 1.9 per cent, or 56,200 for the quarter.
For the May to July quarter, the provisional unemployment rate was two per cent while the underemployment rate stood at 1.2 per cent.
